Pet Show - The Burlington Parks and Recreation and the Fletcher Free Library proudly present the 29th Annual Children's Pet Show Tuesday, July 15, 2008 starting at 6:30pm at Battery Park (rain location: Memorial Auditorium). Registration begins at 6:00pm and is open to any child up to 15 years of age.  Any pet that breathes and isn't human (No younger siblings and PLEASE NO INSECTS or SPIDERS) may be entered.  Children are reminded that they are responsible for their pet's behavior.  Let's have safe pets! Canines and Cocktails - HSCC is pleased to announce our third summer “Canines & Cocktails,” a happy hour for you and your dog!  Join your dog-loving friends and neighbors Thursday, July 24, 2008, from 6—8 pm at HSCC in South Burlington.  Dogs are welcome on leash, but not required to join in the fun.  There will be live music, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, free Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, and lots of fun!  HSCC also has a fenced-in grassy yard where your dogs can romp and play.  There is a suggested donation of $5 per person and all proceeds from this event will benefit the animals at HSCC.  To find out more please contact (802) 862-0135.  This event is generously sponsored by Pet Food Warehouse.

Camp Paw Paw - Educational day camp for kids 9 – 12 years old.  Kids learn about compassion, responsible pet care, and animal welfare issues, and are ambassadors for the animals.  The Camp fee is $150 per camper.  To learn more about this and our summer sessions, click here. 

B.I.N.G.O. - HSCC hosts charity bingo at Broadacres Bingo Hall in Colchester two nights a week.  Our regular night is Wednesday.  In May we are hosting the all day Sunday sessions.  So come on out, have fun, and while helping out the animals you just might win some cash!  To find out more about HSCC's session schedule, call B.J at (802) 862-0135 x12.
